Class Types
Group Class
Group classes are held in a classroom setting in a variety of settings and locations. Parks, Yoga & Dance Studios are some examples of the locations your child will be able to attend in person classes.
Miss Melissa's Aardvarks group classes are mixed ages.. We believe that having mixed aged classes enhances the learning experience for all children.... Smaller children learn by watching the older children and older children take on a leadership role. Parents, being the ultimate leader and role model in class.... We also want to encourage siblings to learn from each other alongside their parents, and enjoy the many levels of learning and development along the way.. Every teacher rocks out with their guitars and all children have an opportunity to participate along with bells, shakers, sticks, drums, scarves ect ect... Its an interactive rock and roll learning experience.... We dance, we sing, we have drum jams.... and the best part, all the music is ORIGINAL from Music For Aardvarks.. Featured on Jack's BIg Music Show! Each semester the music is included with your registration so you can enjoy and practice what you learn in class!
Library Program
At Miss Melissa's Aardvarks we have developed a library specific program for children 6 months to 5 years that specifically targets critical areas of learning development while fostering a lifelong appreciation for both music appreciation and movement. We offer a 35 minutes virtual class as well as library performances or a live music series. Let us cater a program to your needs! This program has grown from Miss Melissa’s over twenty years of experience in music education. Each class is jam packed with original music from over 15 albums. We combine live music, singalongs, with instruments such as shakers, bells, sticks, drums, dances and our own brand of silly to create a program that is totally unique every time.
Every song is designed to encourage play, movement, vocalization, and recognition of beats, which in turn develop both small and large motor skills, call and response skills, social engagement, rhythm and tone development.
Our philosophy is children need to be worked with, not at. We focus on individualized needs of each child. Treating them as individuals deserving of respect and growing at their own pace. In this vain we are proud to offer classes that are inclusionary of differently abled children.

Virtual Class

Miss Melissa’s Aardvarks has developed a 30 minute interactive virtual music program for ages 6 months to five years. Each virtual class is packed with live original music from Music for Aardvarks, combining the best aspects of our face to face classes and bringing them to you online. Music for aardvarks is a leader in early childhood music education and every class is created with each child’s ability mind.
Virtual group classes are mixed ages so all children can participate and learn from one another.
No instruments at home? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered! We have tips on what everyday household items can be turned into instruments and many more tips on how to best navigate music virtually together.

Birthday & Private Parties
Birthday or any occasion, Miss Melissa's Aardvarks interactive live rock and roll parties! Proud to be serving our community for twenty years!
Make your child's day one to remember by having one of our fantastic teachers come to your home or alternate site event and entertain the kids. We can even do birthdays virtually now, so all your relatives can attend. Ages 6 months to 6 years enjoy a tailored party. Each 45-minute party is packed with everything from classic songs like Old MacDonald and Wheels on the Bus to our original contemporary children's rock music from Jack's Big Music Show. Requests are always welcomed.
Bells, shakers, drums sticks, bongos, scarves, are all enjoyed while dancing and singing with our guitars, and of course the famous drum jam at the end.
Ms. Melissa’s team and their guitars are ready to rock your child's party and make it the most memorable ever, we promise!
